Embroidered inukshuk on eco fleece
ITEM #: LUS-21792
The Inukshuk is a well known symbol that Kanata has promoted as part of our Native Artist Collection for several years. The Inukshuk has become even more recognized since being selected as the symbol for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. For centuries, massive stone figures built in the image of a human, have stood silhouetted on the treeless Arctic horizons. These Inukshuks (pronounced IN-OOK-SHOOK), erected by Inuit people, were to serve as guides, giving direction to fellow travelers. They pointed the way or showed a passage that was better and safer. They stand today as symbols of our responsibility to one another and our dependence on one another. ECO friendly fleece blanket with whipstitched edge and faux suede corner patch embroidered with Inukshuk. Our ECO friendly fleece blanket is made of a blend of recycled polyester produced from Repreve® yarn and virgin polyester. This fleece is warm, thick (weight 13oz) and durable.
